Results & Forms

Blood tests are taken by our Nurse and Phlebotomist on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday mornings. Blood tests are by appointment only- please contact us to make an appointment.

You do not need to fast routinely- the Doctor or Nurse will inform you if you need to fast the night before.

Please note that there is a charge of 30 euro for blood tests, as it is not covered under the medical card. Beaumont Hospital offers free phlebotomy to all patients- you may also contact them directly if you would like to get your blood tests performed there.

It takes approximately 1-2 weeks for routine blood tests to come back from the hospital. Radiology reports may take longer.

If your results are normal, your Doctor may text you to let you know. Your Doctor may want to discuss a particular result in more detail with you- Reception will then contact you to arrange a phone or in person consultation as needed.

Please contact us on 01 921 4521 if you have not received your blood tests within 2 weeks.

Result which are ordered in hospital or by Consultants may not be sent to the GP- please contact the relevant Hospital Consultant to receive your results.

If you have been absent from work due to illness, the Doctor may provide you with a medical certificate. The Doctor may request a Consultation to discuss this further. A Social Welfare Cerfiicate can also be provided as needed.

Forms- Letters & forms that need to be completed by our Doctors can be left at Reception. Please note that a charge may apply, depending on the nature of the form.
